I drew this a year ago. By coincidence, I just finished it last night. This is 24″ by 8″ and when I originally posted it, I colored it in Photoshop.
I’m happy to say that I think the original looks BETTER than the digital version – I ended up cutting the giant jellyfish out with an exact-o and mounting it mat board. This now lives with my friends Julie and Dave.
See below.

This is a way cool idea!
Think it would go well on a tshirt too.
Looks great! I like the composition – and you’re featured on Illustration Friday too! Congrats :D
Love it! And yeah, I’d wear that t-shirt.
great piece! Really well done
Jim — That’s a way cool illustration. A little mass production is in order cause I’d love one in my house.
Aaron

Thank you all, very much!
Aaron – I bet we can work something out. ;)
Simply cool metaphore, sometimes I found those jellies in my beach.
Congratulations!
Your idea of this topic is great! And final illustration looks great too! Congratulations!
Excellent work. I liked that on my screen, I had to scroll down to really get the whole effect, which made it exciting. I wasn’t sure what I was looking at at first. :-)
Congrats on being the top choice for IF.
I like all that tangly stuff going on. Can’t imagine cutting it out with an exacto! Congratulations! Great illustration!!
